HEY APATHY! Book 1 Technological tentacles are assimilating mankind! Strange extra terrestrial mechanizations have subliminally attach themselves to the denizens of the Gear. One by one human thought, compassion and ideals are being manipulated into a computerized frenzy of selfish unsustainability! While the strange devices outwardly appear to enhance the routines and business practices of the people, inwardly there seems to be some sort of diabolically viral manifestation. Progress, stress and the limits of the human mind collide for a minimal start up fee and at reasonable monthly rates! Enter the Robot People!

Its going to be one of those days! The cell phone is constantly ringing, beeping, buzzing and on the other end there is nothing but troubles, deadlines, gossip, advertisements and squabbles. The electronic sounds pile upon static voices over and over. There is no escape as the calls come in so quickly the movement of you hands looks like you've grown extra appendages...then again maybe you have!

There is so much to do and so little time, a meeting, a luncheon, the reports, a teleconference, get to the cleaners before it closes and make that payment before nine. Checking the Rolex every few minutes to make sure to get there on time. However somewhere you lost a second and the whole thing is getting out of control. The clock steals your mind and runs away with your precious time!

After slipping the little plastic creature into your ear you feel liberated. Having free hands despite constant cell phone conferencing allows you to exist in the physical world while keeping you mind on the job. What difference does it make if you look like you are talking to yourself all the time things are getting done. However there is one small factor that wasn't taken into consideration. There is a micro second in between the time it takes for one to answer a cell phone with their hands, these micro seconds add up giving the mind a chance to breath. Without these breaks who knows what cerebral evolution might occur. Then just as the brain is on the brink the device malfunctions sending electronic screams directly into the centre of the business mans thoughts ultimately resulting in a violent explosion.

As with all epidemic parasitic invasions the symptoms repeat and evolve over and over becoming stronger with each new strain of robot people. Another unsuspecting cell phone user avoid the climatic over load of her predecessor. In order to do so she simple gives in allowing the top of her head to slip off after which she can fully assimilate her new technologically tentacled mind with the unseen waves of the hand held device...
