SPRING COLLECTION FASHION DRAWING

HEY APATHY Spring Fashions! Strange Swimwear, Satanic Business Suits, Fantasy footwear and inexcusable innuendos! Improbably, offensive and unfortunetely honest these satirical designs peel back the semiotic skin to reveal the truth behind your cloths. It's all fine and fancy to dress up but sometimes cloths mean more than just looking good. This video features a preview of a HEY APATHY! runway exhibition that should never exist (but does everyday) complete with incredible electronic music by Mark van Zyl.

WEB TV INTERVIEW

The HEY APATHY! fashion designs play a major role in my unusual attempt at storytelling. As a street artist I took a particular interest in the otherworldly communications taking place on the paved runway. Animal expressions, social desires and ideological warfare holler from the logo sweatshirts and insinuating cuts. Like a gallery of original paintings, our clothes scream dreams and things that tend to be otherwise unsaid.Through the use of strange designs and live performances the HEY APATHY! stories transcend the canvas draping themselves around the supermodel and pedestrians alike. In this interview from Liquid Lunch Web TV I explain the chronology of my work from gallery artist to street performer and ultimately to a subversive designer using various mainstream avenues such as fashion video, designs, comic books, animations and videogame artwork in order to communicate on a mass scale. On one side of things I see the commercial world as a detrimental void; however I am fully aware of the communicative prowess of popular culture and am determined to infiltrate such avenues even if it is only with a little drop of poison.
