SURREAL COMICS … A LOVE CRIME SÉANCE. I have written a few variations of what this picture might possibly represent, however I’d much prefer the drawing to speak for itself. In fact I’d be very interested to hear what anyone else thinks. Though created entirely intuitively, the artwork ended up with numerous strange inferences potentially relevant to varied interpretation. I was inspired to make this one by those wicked and ridiculous love-crime pulp covers from the 1940’s. I wanted to create a sort of HEY APATHY! noir romance posing the question “ What if such things appeared in the City of Gears?” Creatures and Visions is a new collection of pen and ink sketches.
