STREET ART DRAWINGS

“ENTER THE MACHINE HEAD” Televisions, Technologies, Wires and Wireless Street Art Comics infiltrate the human mind resulting in deranged and twisted expressions of priority, guilt, dept and economic success! A common species inhabiting the heart of the city, the MACHINEHEAD feeds on news paper, business contacts, plane tickets, text messages, caffiene, himself and anyone who isn’t quit prepared for the allocations he decrees.

"THE PUPPETEER” A disfigured roach monster triumphantly adjusts his tie as he prepares announcements for this evenings meeting. Attendence and attire in black file format only. His secretary, supposedly taking the minutes of his propositions, screams unheard in the corner of the office as her hands are finally lost to a program far more capable than she.

“THE ROBOT ATTACKS!” Expecting a beautiful Toronto skyline, the morning horizon offers only an ill-timed warning. An omnipotent shadow lurks among the architecture, reconstituting itself, as a mechanically indestructible omnipotent entity. Forcefully progressing in a march of media annihilation...Beware the attack of ROBOT!
ENTER THE MACHINEHEADS!
These were among the first ink on paper performances pieces I ever made. Having switched from using a pen to experimenting with brushes, I discovered that images, of similar quality to my studio studies, could be made at an impressive pace by replacing the instruments. The new tools & techniques allowed me to produce almost instantaneous monsters, resulting in rapid explorations and an increasingly performance based method of story telling. At this time I was recombining some of my earlier designs and characters with my new found calliope, the City. The result being my first surreal decapitations and various depictions of the epidemic “Machine Heads”. 30 x 40” Ink on Paper, 5-10 minute street art performance paintings. Toronto 2005
