REVENGE OF THE SNEAK!
STREET ART COMICS! Waiting patiently for the computer to complete it’s task, the young business person loses track of his thoughts and is instantly assimilated. The SNEAK extends it’s technological tentacles breaching the man’s orifice and reaching out towards the elevated executive offices. Once his task is complete, the young business men ascend to his former position, fully reprogrammed, rebooted, or re-whatever. 2 x 6 foot Ink on paper, Performance drawings, Canadian Art 2005.
ARTIST'S STATEMENT
The electronic personification of human stress plays an important role in my documentation of life in the big city. Everywhere I look I see people on cell phones, music machines, video screens and even cell phones and music and video screens at the same time. One couple I noticed were sharing a set of ear phones, one each, and both were on separate cell phones at the same time. Another group of about five shoppers were moving through the streets in a huddled herd, each member’s face tilted sideways, technologically attached in conversations as though they were a group of patients from the whiplash clinic having a unified conversation. May absurdity never cease, oh excuse me I’ve got
another call
