STOREFRONT,GALA, GALLERY, And COMMISSIONS
HEY APATHY! Monster Performance Paintings in the Strangest of Exquisite Places. So the story goes something along the lines of I developed a unique technique by which I could break social boundaries and initiate conversation with the most unusual and often unsuspecting subjects by means of constant street and public interventions and then my phone started ringing. Using the same processes and skills I perfected duct taped to the concrete sidewalk, I was called upon and subsequently ventured forth into realms unknown...the art gallery, extravagant gala dinner events, international conventions, night clubs, and giant mainstream downtown storefronts. In these bizarre and exclusive domains I encountered many evils, saw whole pigs placed on tables, got lost amidst an inebriated sea, and was forbidden to drink the coffee reserved for guests only, while the talent had none. All kidding aside most of these ritzy events where really fun and many of the people I worked were true professionals and unbelievably helpful. Expensive installations include live painting at the Don Valley Brick Works, the International Interior Design Exhibition, and in the front display window of the Hudson Bay Co. at Younge and Richmond St. downtown Toronto. Above photos from the Hudson Bay Co., the Walnut Gallery Queen Street West and the Definitely Superior Art Gallery in Thunder Bay.
