HEY APATHY! MONSTER COMICS LIVE! A strange and unusual metropolitan phenomena formulates before our vary eyes. All the cars, concrete, bricks and technologies engulf the urban skyline. Amidst the chaotic re-construction the man made monstrosities out manoeuvre their inventors. Information, architectural absurdities, electrical currents and engines working over time vibrate an inexplicable life into the machine. As the robotic formations move in automation the city is in constant flux. For a brief moment the perpetual transformation takes a shape, not entirely unlike those of clouds, and beneath the monstrous metropolis we see the great beast spirit likeness of animals lost.
GALLERY PAINTING PERFORMANCES
This live painting performance took place at the Walnut Gallery on Queen Street West. This 6 x 8 foot acrylic on board mural took approximately three hours to complete. The image featured a cityscape composed of numerous little denizens, vehicles and buildings while the over all illustration give the impression a giant wild beast. The 3 story Gala extravaganza displayed artworks by several interdisciplinary artists and performers. The evening exhibition included sculpture, video, live painting (me), experimental music demonstrations and a traditional jazz quartet.
