HEY APATHY! MONSTER COMICS STREET ART! The City is a Giant Gear, but it is up to all the different kinds of crazy people to make it spin! This large scale street art comic performance took place on Toronto’s Queen Street West during the summer of 2007. The live mural paintings generally took 3 to 6 hours took complete and were made every sunny Saturday throughout ‘07. After the weekend the performances I would exhibit and work on smaller variations of the themes presented in the large drawing for one week, and then start the process all over again the following Saturday. I completed 27 murals that season and my performances were featured at several gallery and gala events including a storefront window display at the Hudson Bay Co. and a live performance at the Don Valley Brick Works. This time lapse layout was photographed by Craig Boyko and featured in Toronto's Style Magazine. This "City of Gears" performance took 3.5 hours to complete.
