CANADIAN ART EXHIBITIONS! EXPERIENCE A FULLY CONSTRUCTED CARTOON CITYSCAPE WITHIN THE SAFETY OF AN ART GALLERYS WALLS! The gallery exhibitions of the “HEY APATHY!” artworks add a particularly unique aspect of to the investigation. The drawings are designed for presentation as environmental installations, intent on engulfing entire exhibition spaces and introducing an alternate existence, capable of enveloping the audience both physically and psychologically. The complete installations include numerous ink drawings, murals, comics, animations, musical performances, merchandise, live painting and spoken word demonstrations. In the case of a full force installation, the gallery walls are decorated in a deep red or black paint, further intensifying the entire experience. Since 2001 I have independently completed 4 fully conceptualized major “HEY APATHY!“ environmental installations. The drawings have also been featured in two solo exhibitions funded by the Canadian Council for the Arts and the Art Council of Ontario, as well as numerous group & juried showings including the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, "OBSESSION" at The Edward Day Gallery,The Sunnyside Pavillion Art Show, the John B. Aird Galleries Annual Drawing Exhibition, and as part of the A.G.O.'s grand reopening celebrations (Nov. 2008).
